Every so often we raise butterflies with the kiddos.  This year we had 6 beautiful butterflies emerge from cocoons and they were ready to fly away.  We had to wait out a few days of rain, but ended up with a sunny afternoon to set them free.  The kids were so careful and gentle as they let the butterflies go.
